The drawings were AMAZING….After watching the video I began to think about what motivates me.  It’s certainly not money.  As we all know teachers do not make what we deserve.  As a coach I fight for my athletes and I give them my best.  It’s what they deserve.  I work hard at being positive, upbeat, and full of energy with the hopes of motivating those around me.  I believe that if the people I am responsible for leading see me working hard for them they will in return work hard for me.  I want my passion to show through my actions.

Summer Break is over....Work begins.

I have had a fantastic summer.  I was the site lead at Granite Ridge for the Summer Arts and Sports Camp, where my step-son was an employee of mine and my son was a student.  We had a blast playing games, going on field trips, and bonding for five weeks.  I also worked as an assistant tournament director of a National Softball Tournament for 10U and 12U girls.  Following the tournament my family and I spent a week in Maui.  It was a fabulous trip that was full of snuba diving, luau’s, snorkeling, swimming with the turtles, boogie boarding, surfing, Hawaiian food, shuffle board, and soaking in the rays on the beach.
It's time to buckle down and focus on teaching, coaching, and being a student.  I look forward to this semester and all the challenges that will be brought before me.
